Conservation Communications Manager
Small Cat Advocacy and Research
I Create posts for the organization's social media account every week and share posts and information on small wild cat sightings to SCAR admin. I also conduct monthly awareness programs for the public. I assist in data analysis (GPS data, camera trap data, scat analysis, etc) for various aspects of the Organization’s project, Urban Fishing Cat Conservation Project.

Ranger
Wild Coast Tented Lodge - Resplendent Ceylon
I started as a Junior Ranger and my primary duties were to conduct safaris in Yala and surrounding National Parks. I coordinated safaris and did other administrative work within the team. I then received cross training for three months at Cape Weligama resort promoting activities and guiding whale watching tours. I also received cross department training at the front office seeing to guest inquiries and requirements and was then promoted to the position of a Ranger.

Internship
Urban Fishing Cat Conservation Project
I assisted in field work such as setting up camera traps, data collection in the form of spoor and scat of fishing cats and otter spraint for research. I also assisted in the removal of pest plants to create a better habitat for animals in Diyasaru Park.

I was a volunteer coordinator and research assistant and participated in activities to collect data for bird and carnivore research and assisted with sorting camera trap data using WILD.ID software for further analysis.

Work Placement
Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society, Wasgamuwa, Sri Lanka
I completed a project to create and elephant ID catalogue for the bull elephants of Wasgamuwa National Park by using a combination of different individual characteristics after researching relevant scientific reports. I also gained basic knowledge on GIS and drone flying for research purposes and participated in discussions with local villagers to help identify practical solutions to human- elephant conflicts.
